Stories
These stories was e-mail to me I thank you for these stories
riendly poltergeist?: Plymouth, Pennsylvania.
When I was 9 years old we had a series of deaths in our family. My Mom, paternal
Grandfather, Uncle & Cousin died within a six month period of each other.
Needless to say it was a really emotional period for my family and I. A few
months after the last death, some odd happenings started occurring at our house.
The first happening was all our light bulbs burnt out at the same moment. The
next was, an alarm clock which wasn't set went of at 4:23 a.m. (the exact time
as my moms death) repeatately for a week. The oddest part of that was when it
went off her favorite song was playing. The telephone would ring at all hours
with noone on the other line, just dark silence. We had dinner and the center
piece flew off the table. These type of occurances happened for over a year,
then just stopped. I will venture to say it was when I turned twelve that it all
started again, phone ringings, lights turning on/off at the switch and then the
crocheted doll... There was a family heirloom that was a little crocheted doll,
this doll was always stored in a cedar chest in the spare bedroom with other
family valuables. One day we came home from school and this doll was set on our
dining room table in a twisted position. My father saw this and put the doll
back in the cedar chest and locked the door. The following day the doll was in
the living room on the couch, then on the floor of the garage. Even though the
door on the cedar chest and eventually the bedroom were locked this doll would
always appear. The worst part is the position of the doll would always be in an
abnormal position. We finally decided to get rid of the doll. My Dad burned the
doll. Life returned to normal for 6 months. One night my sister and I were
watching television. I was laying on the couch and she was on the recliner. Next
thing I knew the couch was rolling across the room. Well needless to say, I was
completely horrified and she was frozen in fear. We jumped up to run out of the
house, reached the kitchen and the refridgerator door flew open and a carton of
milk flew across the room and smashed against the door. That was all we needed
to see and ran the 2 miles to my grandmothers house where she calmed us down.
When we went home once again and all returned to normal. Or so we thought. We
always had a rather huge Thanksgiving Dinner at our house. Friends, family and
even those with no place else to go. I was a junior in high school and looking
forward to the Thanksgiving Dinner we were about to have. Everone was seated
around the dining room table and we heard these terribly loud banging noises.
The first to get up was my Dad followed by the rest of us. The noise was coming
from the upstairs spare bedroom. When my Dad flew open the bedroom door noone
was prepared for what we saw. The room had 3 dressers in it. Everyone of the
dressers drawers were being pulled open and slammed shut at an alarming rate.
This lasted for a full five minutes with us just standing there in total shock
and disbelief. A few of our guests ran from the house and refused to return. We
lived across the street from a church and we called the priest to see if he
could come up with any explanation. None was to be found. All activity ceased
after that Thanksgiving. I'm sorry to report that a few years back the house was
being remodeled and a paint thinner can spontaneously combusted and the whole
second floor of the home was ruined. My father built another house on the
property and claims there have been no occurances since that Thanksgiving. Over
the years I have questioned many people. The only answer which sounds reasonably
logical is that during stressfull times especially the teen years, telekinetic
activity could of caused the happenings on Cherry St in Plymouth, Pennsylvania.

Ghost with a Sweet Tooth:suburbs of Phila
My name is Marie I am writing to you because of my aunt for the past 4 or 5
months she has been placing candies on her dining room table at night before she
goes to bed in the morning she wakes to find them missing with no explantion she
lives alone and no one has acess to her house. Lately because she has been
afraid she placed the candies down again only this time she wrapped it in her
rosariey beads to find the next morning the candies were gone and the rosary
were left straight with the cross facing up.
We have ruled out anyone coming into her home, and if it were a mouse wouldn't
it leave paper around? How this all started was before she went to bed on night
she placed a cough drop on her table I don't know why I guess if she needed it
she would know where to look but when she got up it was gone, she did the same
thing the next night and again it happend she did it for a few weeks before she
told me about it for fear I would think she was looseing it. She has since
started leaving other candies around and everynight the same thing . She put the
rosary beads out because she was scared she is very religious and I do believe
in after life and ghosts and just wanted to get some input from a professional
point of view to show her she's not crazy and I don't feel she has anything to
be afraid of. Nothing else in her house has every been touched
I do have something to add to the story the other night my aunt's neighbor asked
her to put out his dead wifes rosary beads around the candy the next morning she
woke and could not find the beads she looked all over and finally found them in
the sofa her's were not touched

Nightly Visitor:Erie, Pa
my family and i lived in a trailer when we got out of the service. one night i
was sleeping in the front bedroom, when i woke up hearing something in the room.
there was padding in the room from the new carpet we had just put down and when
you walked on it it would crinkle. well this was the noise i was hearing and i
thought it was my cat. when i sat up there was something staring at me from the
other side of the room it was very big and very scarey. and it's breathing was
very heavy also. i paniced jumped out of bed and turned the light on,having to
pass by where the thing stood. but there was nothing there. after that happened
wierd things started happening also. the cupboards in the kitchen would open and
close and the dishes would rattle. all these things took place at night after
everyone had gone to bed. and with the bedroom being off the kitchen you could
hear this all night. the dog was always growling at things that weren't there.
we have since sold the trailer and it's occupants to someone else.

Remnants of War
I have had a few psychic experiences in my life, and I have already sent you a
story concerning an old farmhouse I lived in. A few years ago, my family and I
went to spend a day in Gettysburg, as we live in Pennsylvania. The whole park
has an eerie feeling; I felt I was being watched the whole time.
Anyway, we had finished our tour of the battleground (our camera would not work
around the Devil's Den area) and had proceeded to the burial grounds. My
daughter and I were walking and chatting and both looked up at the same time and
saw a woman in civil war dress. It was a dark green dress with black trim and
she was wearing a black bonnett. She had a hanky and seemed to be crying, or
blotting her face. We didn't think anything of it, except it was October. We
didn't know if any re-enactments were taking place at that time.
It was broad daylight, a beautiful warm sunny day. We looked at each other, I
guess in a surprised way, and when we looked ahead again--she was gone!! We only
looked at each other for a second, I am sure. We never saw her again that day.
We never saw her face at all. We aren't sure if she was a ghost or not.

The Civil War Battle
I am a true ghost beleiver but I' ve never really seen one before, UNTIL LAST
WEEK! I was at the Gettysburg battlefield. I was just taking a hike through the
area where Pikett made his famous charge. I was getting pretty tired and it was
late so I decided to spend the night there. Luckily I had a sleeping bag in my
backpack. I settled down and was almost asleep when I heard booms in the
distance. I thought it might be thunder so I began to pack up and head home. As
I was packing I looked over at a clump of trees and saw figures all in a line.
There were thousands of them! I could barely make out a Confederate flag that
one a them was holding. Then they began to march towards me. For some reason I
just stood there. I stood there so long they past right through me. Moments
after they past I heard and saw thousands of little flashes (musket fire). After
a few minutes of that thousands of Confederate soldiers came hobbleling back to
the clump of trees. I could here Union troops in the distance shouting
Fredrieksburg. And then it dissapeared. I ran like heck back to my car and told
myself never to come back again.
